Gifted MPACT Program

Motivating and Preparing the Academically & Creatively Talented

Delivery Model: Collaboration
Curriculum Focus: The Yi Hwang Academy Gifted (MPACT) Program seeks to enrich students’ mastery of the Georgia Standards of Excellence by providing instruction that incorporates advanced research skills, communication skills, social skills, creativity, critical thinking, and emotional support. This rich and rigorous instruction is achieved through the use of a variety of models, including the ICM model and collaboration among classroom (both target language and ELA) and gifted endorsed teachers. Approved curricula include, but are not limited to: Georgia Frameworks lessons, Odyssey of the Mind long-term problems, Logic Puzzles, and a variety of other units developed and extended using Singapore Math and Wonders Literacy.
Gifted students will develop and practice creative thinking and creative problem-solving skills with a variety of complex topics within the area of study.
