Addressing COVID-19’s impact on student learning: The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER)
As a public charter school, Yi Hwang Academy of Language Excellence is eligible for federal funds to alleviate the impact of COVID.
ESSER funds from the US Department of Education, distributed as a subgrants through the GA Department of Education, helped pay for YHALE’s prevention and mitigation of COVID-19 at our school.
Now, ESSER funds will pay for a wide variety of student support services, to address learning loss. We used feedback from YHALE families, to help decide how those funds will be distributed.
