Singapore Math’s proven method of first teaching with the concrete, pictorial, and then the abstract, lays the foundation for upper level/advanced math in Middle and High school.
Word problems are taught throughout the curriculum – not in just one section like most traditional math textbooks. This reinforces the language and real world use of mathematics.
