Child Find is an ongoing process of identifying, locating and evaluating all children who are suspected of having disabilities. As a public state charter school, Yi Hwang Academy of Language Excellence is responsible for Child Find within our district. YHALE is responsible for all children suspected of having disabilities, regardless of the severity of the disabilities.
Under IDEA and Section 504, students with disabilities at YHALE have a right to a free appropriate public education (FAPE) that meets their unique needs in the least restrictive environment (LRE). YHALE offers comprehensive special education services to eligible students at no cost as well as 504 plans and accommodations at no expense to families.
