
Mrs. Hannah Kim earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from The University of Texas at Austin and Master’s Degree in Leadership and Educational Policies from The University of Texas at Arlington. She is certified in General Education, ESOL, STEM and Special Education. She has been in education for 17 years as a teacher, facilitator, mentor, and academic specialist. In addition, she wrote for the Korean newspaper in regards to education for the community in the DFW area in Texas. She earned the Teacher of the Year Award twice from two different districts and received the Teacher of the Month Award from Coserv Electricity. Most of all, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family!

Mr. Diaz completed his undergraduate work at the University of Georgia and earned his Master’s degree (M.S.Ed) in Special Education from Hunter College in New York City. He taught middle grades (6th-8th) for six years and elementary grades for six years (K-5th) in both New York and Georgia. He joined YHALE in 2023. Mr. Diaz specializes in foundational reading instruction and project-based learning. If you peek in the classroom, you may see students creating video projects to showcase their learning, small groups building social skills via cooperative board games, or students watering and measuring their indoor plants. Most of the learning is cross-content and based on real-world applications. In his free time, Mr. Diaz enjoys going to the movies.

Youngran Song is a certified Korean Language Teacher in Georgia who joined YHALE in July 2021. She has been teaching Korean to elementary, middle, and high school students since 2011. She earned a Master’s degree in Education-Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from California State University and an IB (International Baccalaureate) teacher certificate in 2018.
Youngran is passionate about exploring new experiences and cultures. In 2013, she directed her Korean class students to host a “Celebrate Korea” program which performed to a sold-out crowd of people from all the surrounding counties of Valdosta, GA. For her contribution to the globalization of the Korean language and the development of Korean education in America, she was awarded the “Certificate of Appreciation” by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education in Korea on December 15, 2014. She was also awarded “Excellent Person of the Year” by News & Post (an internet-based Korean newspaper) on December 30, 2015, and nominated to represent Wiregrass at the GaTAPP Ambassador Conference on February 26, 2016. The GaTAPP Ambassador Program recognizes and highlights outstanding teachers.
With her Master’s degree and twelve years of teaching experience, Youngran is well-equipped to be a successful teacher. She is married with a son and a daughter and enjoys playing ping-pong and watching K-dramas in her free time.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from China. I am a certified teacher in Mandarin and have 16 years teaching experience. I joined YHALE as 2nd Grade Mandarin teacher in July 2022. I enjoy reading, cooking, music, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with friends and family. I have a true passion for working with our youngest learners!! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academic, social, language, and motor—is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment.
