Katelyn Lindsey

6th Grade - English

Ms. Katelyn Lindsey graduated first with her Bachelors in English from Georgia Gwinnett College, and again with her Masters in Folklife and Southern Culture from the Northwestern University of Louisiana. She is certified to teach secondary English and Social Studies (grades 6-12) and obtained her Gifted Certification in 2024. 

Ms. Lindsey was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but has lived in the Metro Atlanta area for 28 years. She worked in Fulton County for 3 years, and is excited to return to Gwinnett County and join YHALE for her fourth year of teaching.

Ms. Lindsey currently lives with her partner and their two senior dogs, Skittle the 12-year-old Shetland Sheepdog, and Noel the 17-year-old Chihuahua. She has several hobbies, including quilting, gaming, cooking, drawing, and writing. She has been working on a sci-fi novel over the last two years, and in her free time plays the Pokemon Trading Card Game with her partner.

Heerae Roh

Heerae Roh

6th Grade- Korean

Ms. Roh can speak three languages and has just arrived in Georgia from Korea. She has a bachelor’s degree in Chinese (Mandarin) and a TESOL certificate. She has worked as a foreign language supervisor at an international school in Korea and has also served as a classroom teacher for elementary students.

This school  year, she will serve as a  6th grade Korean teacher at YHALE. She can teach Korean to both Korean and other foreign students effectively, making it memorable for them. She loves working with her students.

Hao Cai

Hao Cai

6th Grade- Mandarin

Ms. Hao Cai is from China. She earned her master of education in teaching secondary specialization at Dallas Baptist University. She is a passionate and experienced Mandarin teacher of sixteen years. She was once on the largest TV show in China. She is also a certified Chinese dancing teacher in China. She enjoys cooking spicy food, dancing and working out.

Josh Hong

Josh Hong

6th Grade- Math & Science

Mr. Josh has lived in Georgia for over 17 years. He has a bachelors in Middle Education from Georgia State University. He has been teaching for a few years in the private school system, and has been teaching since. He also has an interest in many other areas such as music, fitness, and cooking. Mr. Hong is ready to teach the next generation of learners.
